Lynne
Rocheleau
STAFF Attorney
As an experienced attorney, Lynne Rocheleau knows what qualities are important in her professional area of legal practice. Legal knowledge for sure, “but you need to know your mission as an attorney. Specifically, what gets you up in the morning and pushes you to be the best attorney you can possibly be.”
Attorney Rocheleau goes on to explain, “Some attorneys practice law to simply make money; some do it for standing in the community or to feel important; others practice law for less selfish reasons. I personally practice as a means to help others who are in difficult situations and need someone to lean on and guide them through very difficult times and emotional times. My clients can feel my passion to get involved and help them.”
Attorney Rocheleau focuses her practice primarily in the areas of Family Law and Criminal Law. Both areas of law encompass some of the most difficult and emotional legal situations that individuals and families will ever face. Without a strong and compassionate advocate, individuals can be easily overwhelmed by sheer frustration and a feeling of helplessness. Attorney Rocheleau understands these situations and she is there to guide her clients through every step of the process.
Indeed, such circumstances often require an understanding and compassionate attorney. “Most of my clients are facing overwhelming problems and they don’t even know where to start of what to think. Their life is in disarray, their marriage may have fallen apart, or they have found themselves in handcuffs, there may be substance abuse issues, domestic violence, or infidelity. My clients need to know that there is hope and they will get through this situation. I focus on helping my clients bring about positive change to their lives. This is what gets me up in the morning to be the best attorney that I can be.”
A Passion To Help You
As a working mother, Attorney Rocheleau understands the importance of raising a family. She understands the importance of cooperative parenting to nurture the children and to preserve the framework of a coherent family post divorce. With this understanding, Attorney Rocheleau approaches her clients’ legal objectives with appropriate advocacy techniques. However, when needed, she can be a tough negotiator and litigator for her clients. “I take time with my clients to fully understand their situation and their goals in each case. I then work with my client to understand the personality of the opposing party. I do this to be able to appreciate what is important to the other side and how it is expected that they will react in varied situations. Armed with this knowledge, I can formulate a plan with my client to protect their interests and advance their goals. This is an approach that has been developed over my many years of handling complex divorce and custody cases and it has served my clients very well.”
This type of well thought out methodology is what brought Attorney Rocheleau to FAMILYLEGAL many years ago. After having practiced as a solo practitioner for many years, Attorney Rocheleau knew she wanted to utilize her experience and knowledge to advance to the next level in her professional career and assist a greater number of individuals and families.
Attorney Rocheleau welcomed the opportunity to become affiliated with FAMILYLEGAL. She knew that FAMILYLEGAL was committed to helping individuals and families throughout their Ten (10) New England offices. As Attorney Rocheleau states, “I was drawn to FAMILYLEGAL as I had heard about their reputation in the legal community as a more client-centered law firm. I had spoken with some of their attorneys and they all were very happy with the firm’s professional standards and client focus. I knew that FAMILYLEGAL would allow me the opportunity to utilize my knowledge and experience to help even more individuals and families.”
Attorney Rocheleau offers a FREE initial Consultation to all new potential clients. She does this so individuals can meet with her to understand their options and determine if legal assistance is necessary. Attorney Rocheleau uses these Consultations to listen to the individual’s story, to identify their objectives, and, if necessary, to help them map out a legal strategy.
For Attorney Rocheleau, the payback for her efforts is in the results she achieves for her clients. “My reward is the smile on my client’s face at the end of their case. I take them from being overwhelmed with their situation - to mapping out a plan and giving them hope for the future – to executing the plan and obtaining the most favorable results for my client.”
