She was an Assistant District Attorney for the Essex County District Attorney's Office in Lawrence, Massachusetts, where she was responsible for prosecuting criminal cases. Attorney Cooper has handled over 80 jury trials on various and often complex criminal Matters. Additionally, she has served as an Adjunct Professor at Bay State College in Boston, Massachusetts, where she taught Criminal Justice and other studies. Attorney Cooper is also a member of the City of Peabody, Massachusetts Planning Board and a past participant in the Volunteer Lawyers Project through the Boston Bar Association. When Attorney Cooper decided to move forward in her career, it was a big decision to leave the Essex County District Attorney’s Office. She enjoyed protecting society by prosecuting criminals and making sure they received the proper punishment for the crimes committed.
